Anna Emilia Laitinen is an illustrator who applies some of her drawings to textile products, particularly stationary. Her work concentrates on nature, particularly animals and florals. She comes from Finland, where she still lives and works today. She lived in Iceland for a time, where she gathered a lot of inspiration. She loves travelling, which also inspires her work.
“When I paint I think of all the faraway places the wind reaches and hope to hear from them”
I love her work as it’s delicate, contemporary and quirky. Although her work is inspired by nature and the wonderful array of colours you can find there, she still manages to work with quite a muted palette. I think it’s beautiful.
